According to Mehr news agency, Iran has recently signed some short-term contracts with European oil companies Ceps, Repsol and BP.
National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) alongside with Repsol signed the agreement on supply of 1 mln oil bbl monthly. Thus, Repsol becomes second largest Spanish consumer of Iranian crude oil. Previously, signing the agreement with Cepsa enabled to double oil export in Iran, according to Mehr. Additionally, British Petroleum has negotiated with NIOC on purchasing crude oil.
“Considering signing the agreements with Cepsa, Repsol and British Petroleum, Iranian oil export has tripled since lifting sanctions”, according to the news agency.
In January this year international sanctions were lifted from Iran. Since that time Iran is trying to regain its share in the oil market.
